Sizing Tips
The Dad Shirt is meant to be fitted, like your favorite spandex blend workout shirt, not your lounging t-shirt. It is made from a Polyester and Spandex blend to provide the necessary support and function of a baby carrier. In order for the Dad Shirt to function properly and securely hold your newborn, it must be form fitting to your body. A loose shirt will not function properly.
The pouch extender is meant to allow taller babies to remain secure in the pouch, it is not intended to support a newborn’s head and neck.
There is a layer of mesh inside the pouch to support skin-to-skin-like contact.
Pouch Sizing Note: The babywearing pouch is engineered to a standardized, safety-tested dimension and remains consistent across all shirt sizes. Choosing a larger shirt size will not increase the size of the pouch—it will only increase the fit of the actual t-shirt. Base your size choice entirely on your standard t-shirt fit.

How is the Dad Shirt supposed to fit?
The Dad Shirt should fit close to your body—like a performance workout shirt, not a loose tee. It needs to be snug to securely support your baby and function properly as a carrier. A loose fit won’t provide the support needed for safe babywearing.
What if I am between sizes?
Since the Dad Shirt runs a little small and is meant to be fitted, we would recommend sizing up if you're between sizes!

What's the weight limit of the Dad Shirt pouch?
The pouch is intended for newborns between 7 and 15 lbs. For most babies, that's at least for the first 3-4 months (some longer!) The shirt can also be worn without a baby, and no one will notice!
Can I walk around with both hands free?
The pouch does support much of your newborn's weight, however, we still recommend that you always keep one hand on the baby while they are in the pouch.
How do I wash the Dad Shirt?
Machine wash on cold with like colors. Line dry when possible. Low heat iron if needed.

My husband got this shirt for Christmas and it is beyond the best gift you can get a new dad. He wears it everywhere he can. Everyone that sees him wearing it is in awe, even the college guy students at the basketball games. It is a great quality shirt, thick material and doesn’t shrink. It is also a very flattering shirt for a tall thin guy. Our daughter fits perfectly in it, we started using it when she was 8.5 pounds and she is not over 10lbs and still fits perfectly. I first used my shirt to carry my 4-day old baby to a wedding while my wife slowly walked and sat down the aisle as the Matron of Honor and my daughter slept the whole time in my lalabu shirt. It is quality made and works amazingly well. Everyone was so surprised to see a little baby in my shirt and loved it. I ordered the dad shirt for my husband as a push present for when baby arrived and he LOVES IT. Yesterday I was able to catch up on sleep because he wore our baby girl for hours. Husband and son both love the shirt. Our son will sleep for hours in this shirt. According to my husband it is a bit tight so it’s best to go up a size. Other than that it’s a great product!
