Fit Check

The Dad Shirt is designed to fit like your favorite athletic shirt—form-fitting for proper support and safe babywearing. The built-in mesh-lined pouch holds your newborn securely, while the extender helps taller babies stay snug (but doesn’t replace head support).

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How is the Dad Shirt supposed to fit?

The Dad Shirt should fit close to your body—like a performance workout shirt, not a loose tee. It needs to be snug to securely support your baby and function properly as a carrier. A loose fit won’t provide the support needed for safe babywearing.

What if I am between sizes?

Since the Dad Shirt runs a little small and is meant to be fitted, we would recommend sizing up if you're between sizes!

What's the weight limit of the Dad Shirt pouch?

The pouch is intended for newborns between 7 and 15 lbs. For most babies, that's at least for the first 3-4 months (some longer!) The shirt can also be worn without a baby, and no one will notice!

Can I walk around with both hands free?

The pouch does support much of your newborn's weight, however, we still recommend that you always keep one hand on the baby while they are in the pouch.

How do I wash the Dad Shirt?

Machine wash on cold with like colors. Line dry when possible. Low heat iron if needed.
