Fit Check

The Dad Shirt is designed to fit like your favorite athletic shirt—form-fitting for proper support and safe babywearing. The built-in mesh-lined pouch holds your newborn securely, while the extender helps taller babies stay snug (but doesn’t replace head support).

"This is not our shirt - unsafe baby position." Depicts a baby sagging to the wearer's waist. "This is our shirt. Safe baby position." Depicts a baby safe and secure in the Dad Shirt pouch, with their head at Dad's collarbone.

Meets US CPSC Safety Requirements

Watch out for knockoffs—only the original Lalabu Dad Shirt is engineered for safe babywearing and proper support for your newborn.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
How is the Dad Shirt supposed to fit?

The Dad Shirt should fit close to your body—like a performance workout shirt, not a loose tee. It needs to be snug to securely support your baby and function properly as a carrier. A loose fit won’t provide the support needed for safe babywearing.

What if I am between sizes?

Since the Dad Shirt runs a little small and is meant to be fitted, we would recommend sizing up if you're between sizes!

What's the weight limit of the Dad Shirt pouch?

The pouch is intended for newborns between 7 and 15 lbs. For most babies, that's at least for the first 3-4 months (some longer!) The shirt can also be worn without a baby, and no one will notice!

Can I walk around with both hands free?

The pouch does support much of your newborn's weight, however, we still recommend that you always keep one hand on the baby while they are in the pouch.

How do I wash the Dad Shirt?

Machine wash on cold with like colors. Line dry when possible. Low heat iron if needed.

Son in law approved

Sent to my super tall son in law, a first time Daddy, he really liked it, and said it even catches the pacifier from hitting the floor!

2 thumbs up

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I can go hands free and it is our favorite method to put our kid down for naps. I put the shirt on and walk around hands free, she fits snug in the pouch and 10 mins later she’s out like clockwork. Highly recommend this product it’s advertised as is.

Fun shirt and sticker

Purchased shirt and sticker for my son. Just had their 1st baby. Fits well, is comfortable & has back support when baby is in the pouch. Such a FUN idea and functional too!

Game Changer!!

I received this as a gift, thinking it was a gimmick.

Little did I realize as a new dad, I'd have to hold this baby all the time.

This gave me my hands back and allowed me to move around and still accomplish things.

The shirt is very supportive and almost acts like it has a sports bra or something inside so that the baby isn't moving anywhere.

My child enjoyed the extra movement as I would would around... kind of mimics a womb or something

After a few minutes the baby will usually just feel so comfortable it goes right to sleep

Like I said... Game Changer

Easily the best give I've received in a while that I wouldn't have purchased for myself
